I haven't been able to sleep much lately. I'm sure it's nothing new; The same old story for many. Thoughts of emending tasks, memories of loved ones, a good TV show, a bottle of wine and a brisk lover. I've always enjoyed the night. Not because of the lack of the sun but the gift of the feeling that swells up in people's souls, when their minds kick into the "Fuck my job the day's mine now" mode. Bars, friends, drinks and cheers, the night life is mine, yours, ours. This is a story, if you will, of my wanting to transcend the night; to be something more than standing on the sidelines of life.
My life is unlike anyone else's', yet has been echoed and repeated through-out time and was never truly my own. What drives people? What makes us any more than a physical amount of mass with loose, grand-fathered in emotional ties with other wandering minds? Some wish to answer these questions, but it is in asking the question that is life's true magical journey, and its best to sit back and enjoy the ride.
